Barbara Gordon, "Babs" to her friends, is a short redhead in a wheelchair. Through the wonders of multiple artists sometimes she has glasses, sometimes not, and she rarely wears the same pair twice. Her wheelchair is an unremarkable, normal wheelchair with one exception: it turns into a giant robot doesn't have any handles. This is because Babs is a control freak independent and doesn't want people to be able to push her around.

Barbara has the well-muscled upper body of someone who spends a lot of time moving around in a wheelchair and takes physical therapy seriously. She tends to wear long, loose pants to help hide her atrophied legs (there's only so much you can do with artificial muscle stimulation). She carries herself like someone trained to fight and there are a number of weapons stashed in various places on her chair.

Babs is also a wizard with computers. She's an expert on security systems and information retrieval, and has been known to geek out over new hardware (especially if it's shiny and high-tech). She also has perfect recall. Barbara remembers everything she has ever experience with perfect clarity. From the answer to the second question on that math test in fifth grade to the what it feels like to be shot in the spine. You take the good with the bad.

Note:
Barbara is rather manipulative. Not malevolently so, but she's the sort of person who thinks she knows what's best for you and is glad to make sure you get whatever that is. As of March 20, 2007 I will be including snippets of her mental calculations in most tags, they will be denoted by italicization and are pretty close to the surface of her mind if any telepaths happen to be listening in.
